New Jail Contract to Save Taxpayer Money.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office completed a contract with the Clermont County Sheriff's Office to house (20) male prisoners in the Clermont County Jail. This will reduce the costs of housing prisoners at the Butler County Jail. When adding costs to house a prisoner, transportation costs and personnel costs, the new contract with the Clermont County Sheriff's Office will save Brown County $8,058 per month. The Brown County Sheriff's Office is committed to saving tax payer dollars whenever possible.
